Dinosaur Jr. Where You Been

so damn good.

(even if J. Mascis is a wolf-howling-at-the-moon tshirt wearing weirdo.)

No doubt!

He's a weird one but his tortured vocals and that overdriven slacker guitar is like brain floss, it blows out the cobwebs and scours the cranium.  Love that band, especially with the windows down and my foot on the pedal.

The new one, Farm, is pretty good too.

Found some new stuff by Guy Clark and Emmy Lou.  Rediscovering Los Lobos.  Johnny Maestro (sad to hear we lost him last year), Billy Ocean, Daryl Hall's great series from his house,  Joan Osborne.

I just watched a 90 minute concert on HDNET starring Robert Plante and the Band of Joy with Patty Griffin. Absolutely fantastic.

LuckyStrike

The Songwriters..."God bless the boys who make the noise on 16th Avenue.."

Very excellent guitar work as well.

Billy Joe Shaver-- legendary balladeer

Guy Clark--one of the best at drawing a picture..

Just 'cause something is simple, don't mean it's easy...

Enjoy.

Some Chris Whitley, some Levon Helm, Old 97's, lotsa Rockpile.

I'm hoping to be able to go to Raleigh this w/e and hear Stacie Collins blow...and count how many times Warner (Jason & the Scorchers) Hodges does the "spin-o-rama" with his guitar:
