2012 UJ Fly Swap

Recommended Posts

Grifish
I'll more than likely do a flymph of some sort.  After I knock the dust off with couple dozen of those I'll be able to start my saltwater ties.

Tartan, I would like to see that Hendrickson emerger. Is it your design?

No, I tie a Swisher & Richards using Al Caucci's dubbing, so if you're interested, I'll tie that.

Sounds good to me, Dick.  So we have:

jbeck - beadhead pheasant tale nymph

Talon1 - BWO parachute emergers

Field Grade - some kind of sculpin dressing with grouse "cheeks"

Wildbird - ?

Escopeton - ?

Grifish - flymph

tartanshooter - Hendrickson emerger

Wildbird

I need to take my hat out of the ring...preparing for a baby, house hunting, grouse chasing till 2/28, etc.

Anyone who can should participate in this. Last year's swap was really good. I'll try to have my ducks in a row for next year.

Jeff--I really enjoyed it last year, so I'm in.

I'm tying up some Mercer's Golden Stone Epoxy Biot's today for another swap. By the time I get around to the second set, they might even be fish food.

Count me in.

And here we are now, as of 1/25/2012:

jbeck - beadhead pheasant tale nymph

Talon1 - BWO parachute emergers

Field Grade - some kind of sculpin dressing with grouse "cheeks"

john mcg - Mercer's Golden Stone Epoxy Biot's

Escopeton - ?

tartanshooter - Hendrickson emerger

Unless we get some more participants by 2/1, it looks like we just each need to tie 10 flies...

Escopeton
Okay, I'll play.  A CDC emerger; peacock quill body, dubbing thorax, CDC emergent (from a duck I shot), in about #22.

Just to get the juices flowing. This was my first attempt at tying this one and is a size 10. I've started tying a couple of 12's.

What would you folks prefer? 10's or 12's?
