To the Guests who have decided to register for Membership. I'm new here..(today is first day that I can post)..  but this sounds fun.

Not sure what to tie... green drake cripple.. hungarian partridge caddis...parachute baetis.

You say a 'local fly'  I live in northern AZ.. best fishing in AZ is in UT and best fishing in UT is in ID...

I have to tie a few dozen others for a friend this week.  So, may as well do some UJ tying too.

Green Drake Cripples it will be.

Since it's local patterns we're after, I'll tie pink squirrels.

I would like to participate. I would do an attractor pattern I've had great luck with in Michigan and Montana. D. Case

They're not the prettiest flies but they'll catch fish.  This storm has settled in yesterday so I fired up the fireplace and have pretty much done nothing this weekend but tie flies and shovel snow. I'm on my 4th bag of hooks!

I had the opportunity to help my daughter with school stuff all weekend.  Was working more math that tying but got a doz out for a customer.   (I have learned that one's tying speed goes way down when not doing it full time..)  5 more doz for him, then on to cripples for everybody here and also replenishing my own flyboxes...

It has been too long since I have tied..and fished like I need to. But I am repenting and trying to bring forth such fruits... Planning on casting to some pike either this week or next and hitting northern NM sometime in the next 4 weeks.

Glad that I joined UJ when I did or I would have missed this swap opportunity.

(since we are mostly tying 'local' flies, it would be fun to go fish them where they were tied to be fished.)

Yep

Let's call it at 11 tiers.

Tie up ten flies with a couple extra thrown in for Brad's tip jar.
