      2018 UJ SUMMER AUCTION   06/23/2018

It's time....to start thinking about and preparing for the 2018 UJ SUMMER AUCTION. This Auction has become a UJ Tradition, with loads of great gear donated by our Ad Sponsors and Membership. Items range from Upland vests...Birddog gear...hunting and fishing trips...silver engraved money clips...custom knives, to great food products. I will be starting to contact Upland Ad Sponsors and Members, and will start the dedicated Auction Forum soon. I will include links to past Auctions so Members get an idea of what's typically available to bid on, and to see if they have anything they would like to offer for bidding. Stay tuned!

2015 ANF Gathering

Recommended Posts

ANF grousin

We'll be holding our annual gathering the weekend of August 21-23.  Location as always will center around my cabin, just outside of Tionesta in the beautiful ANF.

Events will be drinking, eating, shooting, dog work and corn holing.  If your dog needs work on wild birds, we'll be working dogs on Friday evening and Saturday morning, and again on Sunday morning for those who arent hen-pecked and have to leave early, or those who arent suffering from a severe hang over.

Friday usually features Blue Crabs, if Delahunter can catch enough.  Rumor has it we might also be treated to Walleye on Saturday evening.  Limited lodging is available at a couple different participants cabins, or bring a tent pitch it around the cabin and get away from the snoring.

YES!  The season begins. :D

Have you let the Po-po know we'll be shooting in the pit on FEDERAL land yet :<img src=:'>

Even better, just go invite him to the festivities.  I bet with a few crabs and a beer in him he'd be quite the character!

Zoli, there are usually a couple cots/bunks open in cabins of UJ members, that is if you dont mind listening to belching, farthing, and snoring all night.

Darn it I was hoping to make it this year and see the pointy dogs run.

I'll be camping with the family at Rickets Glen so we will still have fun on the waterfall trail.

I hope all has a great time!

Every year it amazes me how many guys back out on the chance to train on wild birds with guys who have done it for decades and can provide FREE help.  I've said it before, when it comes down to it most hunters just want groomed fields and stocked birds and spend the off season shooting at golf course like clubs.

Mind you I have nothing against this, it's why in the past decade have only twice seen another hunter while grouse hunting after the start of the stocked chicken season.

It is a shame though.

Farthing? I think only guys who wear breeks and flashes are able to farth.
