infraspinatus tendon contracture

Recommended Posts

Has anyone dealt with this?  My 7 year old female red setter got hurt while we were hunting in Kansas this year around new years.  She was limping in her front shoulder.  We treated her with some rimadyl and everything went away for a few weeks.  Then her leg started sticking out the the side weird.  I brought her back in and the vet knew what it was right away.

It is apparently a relatively easy surgery and has a nearly 100% success rate.

She goes in on Thursday morning.

I see you are in Ham Lake.  Are you getting this done at Blue Pearl by any chance?  We have used them for other leg issues.  Also TC Rehab in Burnsville.   Good luck.   Working through tendon rehab now with my lab.

No we are having the surgery done through our local regular vet.

Sorry to hear of your setter's injury, but so happy you posted about it. My Lab apparently has the same injury, but my Vet didn't recognize what it is. On the bright side, he convinced me to get a pup and keep hunting my Lab lightly as she's in no pain. Let us know how the surgeery goes. Maybe now I can have two full range dogs.
