I’m not certain but this sure looks like a 1969 or 1970 Mercury Montego. My late wife’s father (she was my girlfriend then) set her up with the car after she rolled and totaled the 1966 Volvo he’d given her as driver while she was in college. He was a Chicago area Lincoln/Mercury dealer.

I had to really dig to figure it out, it's a 68 Monterey, has the lights on the corners of the fenders.  67 Monterey doesn't have them but 68 does, neither year Montego has them.

Perhaps it's just me but I never thought that vintage Ford was very attractive, even if one was used to haul moonshine in the Robert Mitchum movie "Thunder Road". I remember them tinkering with the flat head V8 equipped with tri-power (oooooh, that'll make it outrun them guvmint men!!!).
