      WELCOME NEW UJ MEMBERS   06/25/2017

It seems the word is out and UJ is enjoying a steady stream of newly Registered Members. Welcome to all of you, and we are all looking forward to your positive participation. I strongly suggest you review the Board Guidelines that have been in place since 2002. The most significant thing being that UJ is a NO POLITICS BOARD. LInk:  UJ BOARD GUIDELINES   Also UJ stays afloat mainly through Member Donations. Once a Donation is made you are placed in the Contributing Member Group with extra Priviliges. I am getting very few new Donations so hopefully this will spur that on a bit. Link:  New Members/Donations/Priviliges

Interesting bird. Appears to be a Mallard - Pintail cross.

Crosses like this count as an “other” on your strap.

That’s a custom Galazon  A-10 All American 20/28 gauge two 30” barrel set. It belongs to a friend of mine who’s in my duck club that lives in both California and Wyoming. He hunts ducks, geese, pheasants, chuckers, huns, quail, dove, and just about anything else that flies between the two states. He gets to hunt on some very nice properties.

He owns many fine guns, but for the last two seasons, he’s used mostly this one for everything. He’s 78 years old, wealthy, and it really doesn’t matter to him to take a gun like that into a marsh.

Certainly not the usual marsh gun. Must be nice to have that kind of hunting lifestyle. I bet he has a lot of great stories to tell in the blind during those slow times of the day.

He’s not much of a story teller about his hunting exploites. While he does talk about them, it’s usually pretty brief. Rather, he likes to talk about the day he’s in and what he’s doing. Or what’s going on with family. Or guns and ballistics as he rolls most of his own loads and uses a lot of HeviShot.
