      WELCOME NEW UJ MEMBERS   06/25/2017

It seems the word is out and UJ is enjoying a steady stream of newly Registered Members. Welcome to all of you, and we are all looking forward to your positive participation. I strongly suggest you review the Board Guidelines that have been in place since 2002. The most significant thing being that UJ is a NO POLITICS BOARD. LInk:  UJ BOARD GUIDELINES   Also UJ stays afloat mainly through Member Donations. Once a Donation is made you are placed in the Contributing Member Group with extra Priviliges. I am getting very few new Donations so hopefully this will spur that on a bit. Link:  New Members/Donations/Priviliges

Ah, the excitement of a new pup that not only fits in, but sends a signal from the dog replaced!! We have all felt the replaced dog "speaking" to us through the new one, and it is truly one of the highlights of a hunters life. The very best of luck and life with a great looking pup.

I'm curious. I have multiple times in my life "seen" my new dog send me a signal from the one he/she replaced. How many of you have seen this too? Perhaps I should provide an example. One of our pups preceded us into the house when we brought her home, she ran up the stairs to our living area like she knew where she was going. As we got to the top of the stairs, we saw her running around with her predecessors favorite toy. Of all of the toys and things around the house she could have grabbed,  and there were many, and this one was not easy to find, that's the one she chose. We took it as a message that she was accepted. We have experienced this sort of message before.............

We had to let go of our female in September immediately prior to picking up our new puppy. Wound up getting littermates, one of each gender. The new female has been favoring an old fox toy that Skye would frequently leave on our bed. If Gin starts leaving that toy on the bed when she is eventually allowed into the bedroom we will take that as a sign. If she ever starts playing the Rahne Game that our earlier female did, I will call a medium!

I’d guess this was the only time something like this has happened to me, with all the dogs I’ve had, but it almost made my heart skip a beat. I could t believe what I was seeing
