      WELCOME NEW UJ MEMBERS   06/25/2017

It seems the word is out and UJ is enjoying a steady stream of newly Registered Members. Welcome to all of you, and we are all looking forward to your positive participation. I strongly suggest you review the Board Guidelines that have been in place since 2002. The most significant thing being that UJ is a NO POLITICS BOARD. LInk:  UJ BOARD GUIDELINES   Also UJ stays afloat mainly through Member Donations. Once a Donation is made you are placed in the Contributing Member Group with extra Priviliges. I am getting very few new Donations so hopefully this will spur that on a bit. Link:  New Members/Donations/Priviliges

Odd Behavior - Blood Sugar?

After she is checked out by a vet consider giving her a small protein snack a little before hunting.  Sardines, a couple of strips of bacon or sausage or soft food.  If it is a glycemic issue this should help.  As long as it is light it should not be an issue when she hunts.

The think very good advise.  When I hunted Sophie in Michigan pretty much every day for 6 days, I gave her Sardines in oil every evening with her food.  That might have prevented any blood sugar issue.   I did not give her any sardines when I hunted her earlier this week when she apparently had her low sugar issue.

I feed twice a day. 1/3 in the mornings including days I hunt. I know many people dont. I always get up early so they have a couple hours before hunting. The dogs ran 23.5 and 31.9 miles yesterday with no problems.

I am hypoglycemic and have to eat somewhat regularly. I know dogs systems are different but it might be worth a try if you think it's low blood sugar.
