Yes...

I thought that by now there would be some in the hands of buyers and we could really get an objective look! I've been waiting pretty patiently..:)

Seems to me that CSMC builds a few new guns, gets them lookin' really good, then begins to blare out advertising without having much product to sell. Then people order the guns, pay for them in advance, and using that $$$ real production finally begins. It took 8-10 months to get my RBL-28 after I paid 100%.

Don't get me wrong it was a really well done shotgun, but the wait was too long.

That is what I have observed as well on various bulletin boards..

It is basically a Kickstarter style funding model, I suppose.

I think this concept is pretty common amongst all gunmakers not just CSMC.  We all waited a long time for the 16 gauge A5 to come out.

Jakeismydog2 ,  did you have to to pay Browning in advance?

I canceled my order when it became obvious that it was going to take longer than what they initially said.  I knew there was a good chance of that happening when I ordered, so I wasn’t too disappointed.  There were other guns that I was interested in, so I had no interest in waiting.  Looking forward to seeing some pictures when they start shipping them.

I did not get one. It seems to me the bigger Gun makers "launch" a gun at Shot show. Then they wait to see the reaction and how many preorders they get. This determines if the gun ever comes to market or not. I am not sure how the finances work at the Big gunmakers. I would guess they can use the number of preorders to secure financing to start production if they need to.
