Picked up my first bird dog today, this little English Setter.  Lots to learn, but so far he’s a lot of fun

So cute!   I'm thinking my next pup may be a setter.  Basically look like a big cocker so they're definitely appealing to me. I'm thinking with dwindling bird numbers a pointing dog might be the way to go. Beautiful pup!   You'll love the journey!

Thanks all.  His father was on the very large side for a field Setter, 60lbs or so, hoping he comes in 50 or less

The sire, Charlie, is out of Foggy Bottom Fritz, Litter mate to Ridge Creek Cody. Charlie's Dam is Carpenter's Tribeca She's a daughter of Shadow Oak Bo.

The dam , Bandit, Is out of Branniggan's Last Straw, and a daughter of Grid Iron. Her Dam is Hytest Horizon, A daughter of Hytest Skyhark.

I have full pedigree from the breeder but that’s the info I had from email.  To be completely honest I wasn’t concerned with getting an A1 top dog, just wanted one from hunting lines and local so I could check them out.   I’m sure he’ll be plenty of dog for me to learn on.  His sire, Charlie, is a stunning dog in person, just beautiful
