Heading West tomorrow!

Up North

Well it’s been a busy week! Realtors messed up our closing date on our house, so we been packing up all week to be out Monday morning. We thought we had another month to do this, but someone didn’t pass on the change of date. We had some help loading the truck this weekend, and will be heading West to our camper until the house is done. We had the shed cement slab poured this Spring. They will start putting up the wood this week.97315F30-B42C-454B-8DBB-BDCEA057E4C0.thumb.jpeg.e46160633b217bb9e123feda4a151f15.jpegBA320F64-1B25-4678-A443-2681FEF2455D.thumb.jpeg.4b8c9b8287093a5dd875c0ad503e6e0c.jpeg001766F7-C8CE-41D7-9613-CAF2F763FBCD.jpeg.795e28006d0a2e9cca7cab2c609d507e.jpeg

We are building just East of Helena, overlooking Hauser Reservoir. It’s state land on the other side so we should never have to look a a house over there. image.thumb.jpg.a973e5043b3b18e3ad64aed4c6c83561.jpgimage.thumb.jpg.a5a3adcb6c2c4e6646af410435556533.jpgimage.thumb.jpg.e935b7e1c3f694b0b89eb926767fff63.jpg

Thanks for the compliments. We got hooked on the view ourselves, and will put up with a pretty gnarly driveway to live there.

Congratulations!  I remember when you first posted pictures of that spot, and thinking that it was a beautiful area.  And welcome to the West!

Congrats on the move.  That's some beautiful country up there.  Does this mean you'll change your user name to Out West?

Iam sure you're very excited about your move to Montana. Problem is too many people are moving here and changing many parts of our State and not for the better. What happens to the Elk and Deer when people build more homes around the Lake? Often they call F& G saying "YOUR deer/Elk are eating all our 20K landscaping job you must do something !!"  After a few years they call themselves "Montanans" but they never really are because they either don't spend winters here or they don't need to make a living here. Building your home there in that beautiful place will only encourage others to do the same and more Wildlife habitat will be forever lost. We have a saying here "All hat ...no cows" so a bit of advise, don't wear a Cowboy hat unless you want everyone to know you're a Dude from someplace else. Welcome anyway !!

Sorry you feel encroached upon. The sad true fact is there are more people these days, and they keep making them. I won’t be doing any landscaping to hinder the wild life, and I don’t do cowboy 🤠 hats. Thanks for the welcome.

Flat driveways are overrated. Gives a person an excuse to own 4×4's with rugged tires. Nice view.
