I have to say Savannah, just something about it.  St Paddys day is on a par with NYC or Boston  but with friendly people.

IF, and while very unlikely, I deliberately went, just to see, to a city larger than 100K in population, I always thought Quebec City would receive the nod.

Not a fan of cities of any sort but if it’s a must I like Salt Lake City.

When it comets "big cities" it truly helps to reopen minded. Savannah is one of my favorites.  Seattle and Vancouver are wonderful.  Indianapolis and Milwaukee are real surprises. Grand Junction also.

I have not been in a big city in in 50 years, and I hope I never have to go again!

Sorry.. I just remembered that this is not entirely true. I was in London in the early Eighties. Just passing through to get the train (that stopped at every station along the way) to Wales. As soon as we disembarked the plane, (a 707 9_9 ) they warned us about pickpockets. One the return, I wandered a little, but I was just too bone tired after the train to care..

Growing up in a city of 1 million 100k hardly seems big, even living in a town of 1500.

Big cities I enjoy my time in: Boston, NOLA, SF, Seattle, Vancouver BC, Tokyo.

Little Big Cities: Billings, Bend, Portland ME (is it 100k?), Boise.

Cities I despise: Portland OR, Sacramento, the entire Front Range.

Watersmeet, Michigan.

I'm sure there's 100,000 of something there.

Like others here, I am NOT a fan of cities and avoid them like the plague if at all possible, but of the relatively few really big cities I've been to, I'll take Jacksonville, FL. If you go beyond the US, I'll vote for Munich, Germany.
