UJ URL Anamoly

Recently I have had a few Members contact me that when they try to open UJ they get a blank screen with the word "forbidden" at top or some other "Can't locate site on Server error" . I couldn't figure out why. Everything was fine on my iPad and iMac, and was also fine when I tested their UJ Membership Accounts. Then I clicked my UJ Bookmark on my iPhone (I rarely use IPhone for UJ unless I'm at camp or away from wi if) I got that "forbidden" page. Turns out for some unexplained reason the Bookmark had reverted back to a URL from the old Board prior to the Software Conversion a couple years back. That URL is dead thus the forbidden screen. I have no idea why that is the case, and why some Bookmarks are linking to a dead URL on some devices. This isn't related to the Upgrade that was performed a couple days ago since it was happening prior. Simply replacing/using the correct URL will link to current Board: http://uplandjournal.ipbhost.com

Hopefully anyone experiencing this doesn't give up and figures it out or contacts me somehow.

The digital world is a strange place indeed, and a bit scary for a technophobe....like me.

If I sign in, a “website is not secure” note pops up in red....fwtw, as to help in diagnosing issues.

That should be non related. The “website is not secure” is generated due to site using http not https. Google and others are pushing things that way. Since the beginning of the month, chrome throws that message.

okie-dokie....I wish I understood all that but, I don’t and that is fine, just noticed it and passed the notice along.

I do know I do not use Chrome which is odd as I like many shiny things.
