Digital photography... not the be all end all

I like to screw around with the post processing for giggles myself.  Not so much to try to create what my eye saw...I figure if I did my job as photog right the photo should stand up for itself...I do it more for self entertainment...make things mayybeee the way they should be or might have been!  😄

Making a lake out of a grain field...copy the top half of the photo, invert it, paste it to the bottom half of the photo, blur it slightly and blend...voilla, water:

Sometimes waiting out the hatch the world can just seem gray:

A little hocus pocus to turn a photo:

into a logo:

Add some bling to an old clunker:

Go a little crazy with the noise redux to soften a soft scene:

Completely blow out highlights to just leave what ya wanna see:

Apply a little horizontal artifact to this:

to create a lone figure riding into vast flat expanse:

Disguise a favorite hunting spot:

OK, enough - photos like that do not make it on my wall.  Personally, as a wanna be photog that wants to understand and use my equipment without witchcraftery, I just like a clean, crisp shot captured and processed without any hijinx/additions that weren't really there/etc.  I don't know if these shots are technically good or not but they came out like I hoped looking thru the viewfinder:

Digital gives ya' options right at your fingertips!
