I get my khakis at the Goodwill.  Five and a quarter a pair, usually in as-new condition.

In addition to that I carry a kukri at all times. in case anyone has a problem with my Goodwill khakis.  Crazy.

I tend to just buy mine at haggar or van heusen outlet stores for around $20 per pr.  We had casual dress at work so as they wore they would progress thru my various classification from top to bottom.

Work

yard work and hunting, hiking etc.

painting and cleaning fish. Usually a wear once  deal

+1 on Kuhl. It's all I wear now when I'm not at work.

I have worn Mountain Khakis "Camber 107" for years. Love them. I have several pair in different colors.

They are my favorite pants, by far. Second is Kuhl...

I wear Columbia mountain kaki. The ones with 3 front pockets. One which has a zipper pocket   Been wearing them for years. Not as heavily made as they used to be. Also they are cutting them differently as well.  I’ve bought my share from good will when I can find them.  I do buy all my blue jeans at good will.  $5.25 is a lot better than $20-$30
