Recommended Posts

I have an old Garmin GPS with abrasions on the screen -It's to old for Garmin to fool with, but it works great and i hate to throw it away - Anybody know how to polish abrasions off a screen?

Thanks

As a follow up I got the new screen, it took a couple of weeks to get it shipped in, and installed it today - Works great, not hard to install and saved me the cost of a new GPS - I have a Garmin Map 60 that Garmin will not work on since it is about 14  years old.  A big thanks to WPG Gizmo

Before you buy a new screen, try cleaning it with the lens type cleaner for your car.  I think I used Meguires and can check if you need me to.

My situation was a bit different.  On one of my snowmobile helmets, I had a few scratches making it hard to see at night.  The replacement lens was over $100 due to the heated shield.  Someone suggested I try to rub them out with the cleaner/sandpaper.  Sure enough, good as new.
