Brad Eden, January 1 in Bird Dogs & Bird Hunting
From our last day afield in MT. It was a nice sunny day, not cold, not too much wind.
Bliss at work:
Both dogs working the rushes along a big lake:
Bliss point, Joy honor.
It was two great months. Now, it's time to go back home....
Here’s a couple birds from Friday and Saturday:
The bird from yesterday is the first grey bird with bronze ruff and tail band that I’ve ever taken.
26 days 'til the season opens, but who's counting? Here's a covey my pup found this afternoon while we were riding around.
Dad still getting birds and chasing dogs.
Had a good week with the wife and dogs in the U.P. of Michigan
The old pup
It’s here somewhere, put down the phone and flush my find.
Ok I can do that for ya. The results. Dad and his dog somewhere in the wet U.P.
Haven't been taking many photos this year. Snapped this one yesterday because I caught the pups and the day's bag on the tailgate at the same time. Hunted a stones throw from our camping spot.
Sage, on the right, 8 months old. I killed 2 roosters and 2 sharptail over his points Friday. He had some real nice dog work, I couldn't be more excited.
Love those plum thickets...
2 pics from my week out in Montana. I didn't get many pics mostly bc I forgot to take them but also bc I was a bit too wrapped up in watching my 2 year old girl really put it together. I had her trainer really focus on her handling for the 2 months she was with him this spring/summer and it really paid off. She handled like a dream, was staunch on her points, and made me one happy camper. I only wish I had shot better for her bc she certainly did her part to find me birds. Anyway, here's Millie with 2 sharpies from that week.
