The car showed 102 yesterday at 4pm. The news claims that the real feel was 112. All I know, it was so hot I couldn’t sweat.

Just walked in from stretching some fence wire, 100* right now, amazing how that feels after a couple hours without shade.  It’s not hard work but it drains you for sure.

100*+  again today, and tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that and so on for the next two months. But so far the humidity has been low but supposed to rise next week as the Monsoon is predicted to start.

Skeet shoot in Tulsa this weekend. Saturday hit 100 degrees with heat index of 110, yesterday 101 with heat index of 112 plus. Several older shooters got dangerously over heated. Would love to blame my 410 score yesterday afternoon on the heat but know that wasn't the case.

Had 98 on the outsider thermometer  yesterday.  The wind chill kept it bearable though.

it was 52 here this morning. A nip in the air gives one false hope that Fall is right around the corner. Im sure there's a heat wave or two still coming but it sure feels good!

August 1st is the real beginning of a Maine Summer. Beautiful temps generally in the high 70's to mid 80's with some spikes off and on. The next couple weeks are when smart vacationers have booked their cottage or campground spot. It will last 4 weeks. Residents are now busy cutting and splitting wood for winter, doing overdo repairs in roofs and chimneys etc., etc..........dot, dot, dot.

Up here we had a heat wave that lasted 4 days with temps in the high 80s,  low 90s, it was much higher by the humidex score. Last evening at about 6-7 pm we had a short sharp thunderstorm that lasted about 20 minutes and dropped the temps down by 20 degrees. This morning at 1:30 AM, we had another rolling boomer that lasted about 45 minutes, in most cases there were no separation between flash and boom, meaning that the cloud was directly overhead. Watching the lightshow over the lake from my screened deck was spectacular!
