Tire Review-Dick Cepek Trail Country EXP

Recommended Posts

Bird Buster

Recently bought  set of Dick Cepek Trail Country EXP tires for my 99 Chevy Z71 265 75 16. Did alot of research and reviews and value for money is excellent. Have a family and kids so my tire budget is not real high but very happy with purchase. The Dick Cepeks are actually made by Cooper and they are a hybrid aggressive all terrain like the Nitto Ridge Grapplers for reference. They have a great tread pattern ,18/32 tread, balance and ride great. Price was 148 each a steal for me. A friend has a set on his truck we hunted out of for a week in Mi. In late Oct. And these tires were awesome  off road. If you are looking for an aggressive  AT tire give these a look.

Ahh, one of the first guys to have an off road catalog loaded with tires, wheels, lift kits, etc, mostly tires for running the dunes and beaches of California with some others mixed in .  I bought some Armstrong True Track tires and wheels from him back in the mid 70's.  I think way back then he was just getting into branching out with his own name brand tires.  I have heard good things about the Cepek tires in the off roading community but can't give any info as to how they do on the street although they are street legal.  Keep us informed as to how they wear and work on the streets.  Cepek has some very aggressive tires for the serious off roader.

PS, back when the web was first starting ( it was Al Gore wasn't it? LOL) if someone googled Dick Cepek it took them to a porn site.  Glad to see that once again a person can look at the tires this company offers on line.

I was stationed in San Diego back in the mid 70's and not only had the catalogs the or at least one of the shops was in El Cajon. So was one of the few Navy Federal Credit Unions back then. Thought that was pretty convenient LOL.
