Not to be screwy, but....

That place I'm fishing that particular day is my favorite place to fish.

I've fished the Big Wood in Idaho, the Yampa in Steamboat, the Salmon in NY, rivers in VT, NH and ME.

All are fun, tough, easy, etc.

Still have many dreams of NZ, Kamchatka, Kola, Alaska, Greenland, Labrador, even Rainbows on Kauai.

The debate is as spirited as Dem vs. Rep, pointer vs setter vs flusher and as mundane as tomato vs tomahto, pheasant loads.

I'm jealous of the real estate you all have fished, maybe if I hit powerball......

Absolutely no good trout fishing here in Coulee Country.

I've heard if you go across the river to Minnesota the fishing can be good.

Actually, Iowa has the best trout fishing in the Upper Midwest -- and you don't have to worry about being outsmarted by wild trout.

I work with a guy that swears by the trout streams around Decorah.

Needless to say, he gets a lot of ribbing about following the hatchery trucks, and dunking worms.

Better hurry. Our new best friends are buying oil companies and planning pipelines to the west coast.  :<img src=:'>  :blues:

As to fishing, I'm with MissEmAll. If I'm actually catching fish, THAT's the best spot in the world. LOL I'm far from the greatest fisherman so I can't afford to be picky.

Why would we invade until the pipelines are done?

Do we actually go through the trouble of invading?  I thought a notarized letter of intent would suffice.

Now im young and not well traveled but I believe we have a very diverse fishery here in New York

- Tributary fishing for huge lake run (Both lakes Ontario and Erie) browns and steelhead (not to mention Chinook and coho Salmon). Some streams such as teh salmon river even see runs of summer sleelies and atlantic salmon.

- The Legendary Catskill streams.

- A large variety of Southern Tier and Western NY Wild trout streams (plus a ton of stocky streams for those inclined)

- Finger Lakes and Tribs for lake run large rainbows, browns and atlantic salmon.

-Adirondack Wilderness... Endless brookie streams and backcountry ponds, lake fishing for lakers, browns , rainbows, splake and brookies, miles apon miles of trout streams and rivers(Rainbows Browns and Brookies)

agreed - and the Niagara.   120,000 cfs of BIG trout water.
