Have a listen to this version of the 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky. Not your everyday Boston Pops version.

Whenever I see "best  version ever" I'm usually skeptical but I do believe that this is the best version I've ever heard, just OUTSTANDING. Love the choral additions, cannons don't overpower, great sound fidelity, wonderful visuals with it. Must sound really good on your system, begs to be played LOUD! I had to play it twice!.

Walt, yesterday afternoon was one of those lazy hazy easy days of summer, all of our windows were open, Linda was repotting some poseys, I was just doing things that needed doing. I played this music off youtube, with the Klipsch's turned up 1/3 way so we could hear it outside without straining and as the choir started to crescendo Linda stopped everything and listened. She startled at the first cannon shot. Like you we played it again as it was the most beautiful rendition that we have ever heard.
