I guess since I started the thread, I should have stated my age-44.

Started grouse hunting about 8 years ago with my brother-in-law; I had no dog and he had an old lab. Feel in love with the dog part of it. I went a different direction and went the pointing dog route. Fortunately one of the guys I work with is passionate hunter/setter guy and he's help mentor me in pretty much all aspects of upland hunting.

Be 72 in a month. Got 2 energetic Brits for guiding preserve hunts,& chasing grouse & pheasants. Quail when I can find them, my hunting & shooting partners are 38 & 42.  They take the tough cover MOST of the time.

Old Colonel

72 plus 8 months.  I look forward to every instant afield, but the "sporting events" here in Afghanistan are sadly of a different sort with a quarry that is stalking you.

Walt, being a fellow Arizonan, is one of my heroes...and has the "saltiest" hat going.

I'll turn 56 during this next season, hopefully.  Raised a son, now 29, who upland hunts as often as the army allows.  We have high hopes for his two year-old son who adores my setter  :D

37 & getting harder. Its now to the point where I have to pay to preserve hunt or travel 20 hrs to find decent bird numbers. Hard to engage the youth in those situations, but I'll take every kid I can find.
