What do you do?

Recommended Posts

All this talk about "pay increases" makes me wonder, what do you do? Please feel free to be as vague as you want to be, I don't want to seem nosey.

I'll go first. I'm in the construction industry, I inspect road and bridge construction.

Work for the pension office for public employees in a large city. It is, without doubt, the most boring, soul-sucking, depressing job on planet earth

I'm a plumber, painter, locksmith, carpenter, draftsman, estimator, consultant, first line supervisor, project manager, lecturer, administrator, roofer, spec writer, structural specialist, parts pimp and safety coordinator. Sometimes I deliver salt to help clear sidewalks and sometimes I deliver instruction on value based purchasing.

Maybe there's a reason I'm not exceptionally good at anything but I can't quite put my finger on it.
