Climate Change

Climate Change

  1. 1. Climate Change

    • Is human caused.
      Is human caused.
    • Is not human caused; part of the earth's normal climate cycles.
      Is human caused.
    • Is not occurring.
      Is human caused.
    • The Jury is still out (your undecided?)
      Is human caused.
    • Is a left wing conspiracy?
      Is human caused.
    • All science is a left wing conspiracy?
      Is human caused.

Brad? With the hongers last tirade , now this?

Are we " open for political business"?

GB--why is it that we can't just have a discussion?

As has been said on other controversies in the past--one doesn't have to 'click'.

I'm not being confrontational--just saying.

Why does something outside of us, have to sink in so deeply and cause offense?

Cause thats life, and what makes us as men, tick

If man has any significant impact, which I certainly don't believe, why do the greenies think the US can do it by themselves?

Most of the world says; "Just keep regulating yourselves to death, but keep buying our cheaper products before you go broke (aren't we already?) and BTW, thanks for those 10s of millions of jobs you transferred to us."

wheres the freakin thumbs up emoti?

Whether its human caused, or part of some "natural cycle" (whatever "natural" is), if the current warming trends continue, a lot of us that enjoy bird hunting in arid or semi-arid climates would do well to start looking for new hobbies  :glare:

Bs!

Ill own. Beachfront property!

Bring it on!

You don't believe game birds eat plants that need water to grow?

I haven't had the chance to travel the world that I'd like to, but have been fortunate to know a number who have--and to have met and had long discussions with people from other developed countries.

Based on what I know through them, the US really ought to be ashamed.  Most every other developed country IS doing a great deal more than we are.  And they know it.  Some of the things are little things--but they add up.  And in many cases they save $$, which is one thing that really baffles them...given our state of economy, why we don't embrace some of the measures that make economic sense too?

I've traveled ... a lot... what I've found is people is  people... all working with in the constraints of their environment, and all typically gravitating to their own type and intellectual leanings  ...

but I would admit our walmart shoppers tend to be much much much fatter  :<img src=:'>

The ripple effects of a warmer climate on the critters we like to chase and hunt are often lost on people, I find.

The interview I mentioned cited a migratory bird species that timed their migration to coincide with a species of hatching insects.  When they got their the hatch had already occurred and the birds went hungry.

One example, anyway.

Not to mention last years Canada season which didn't happen due to warm weather and lack of migrant birds.

That's right about the time I had to get out of the car. Were they able to survive on their coconut reserves?

You  will notice I said, most, not all.

Other countries?;  that's just what the greenies want; the US to become another European socialist country with much higher unemployment than we have.

It's the 'under developed' countries that are getting fat off our stupidity.

Keith E. Carlson

If water levels rise and increase the surface water area of the earth, there should be more evaporation resulting in more precipitation somewhere.

If it gets too hot to grow crops in the Southern US, won't crops grow nicely in the Yukon, NWT, etc ?

Oops, forgot, the sky is falling.

I believe that climate change(warming) is occurring.  I also believe that humankind will not change its behaviors to stop it.

For me to admit that humans have any culpability in effecting the climate is just too heavy a load to bear.

That would mean I might have to change the way I live -- stop burning up all that gasoline driving hundreds of miles to bird hunt and fly fish.

Cut down on the AC at home.

Turn off some lights at night.

Cut back on consuming so many products.

It's all just too much of a hassle.

I prefer to see climate change as an apocalypse of dire prophesies finally coming to pass.

The End Times are here and like I read in the Weekly World News, all we can do is quake in terror. There's no stopping it -- these things were all decided ages ago, Nostradamus foretold them.

I also believe alchemists can turn lead into gold, the earth is flat, witches always sink if you throw them in the water, leprosy and other diseases are punishments meted out to sinners, Americans are the chosen ones and Manifest Destiny is our ironclad right, Elvis has NOT left the building, a watery tart pulling a sword from a stone IS a good basis for government, and if I swing my shotgun real fast and pull the trigger, the shot charge will fan out into a nice open pattern -- even from an extra-full choke.

Superstition is much more powerful than science... what do doctors, engineers and scientists know anyway.

It's not like they could cure polio or split atoms or build a spacecraft that could travel hundreds of millions of miles to Mars, then transmit pictures back and perform complex experiments there.

Let's stick with what works best: superstition and the Weekly World News.

Now that's some funny stuff right there!!

And that's the most accurate take on the situation I've seen so far.
