My daughter just sent me this one from her dorm room. "It will all be okay in the end. If its not okay, its not the end."

If it's to be, it's up to me. I say this over and over again this time of year as I get the last of my "Honey do" list completed before season starts.

This is one my grandfather always told me........." Any fool can make money, you gotta be smart to hang onto it".  I actually think it was his creed, he was pretty shrewd with his dollars. :-)

"Always keep one man between you and the problem."

"Better to ask forgiveness than permission."

"A simple plan, executed violently."

Seems suspiciously Navy like!

If I may I would like to amend one of those to: "A simple, secret plan, begun with deception and executed with great violence".

That is how to win battles!!

I heard a drill instructor say:

RIGHT WRONG OR INDIFFERENT "DO SOMETHING!!!"

My dad used to say:

No good deed goes unpunished!

A couple I've always liked are:

"Life's too short for stale cigars, cheap whiskey or ugly women" and "Lead or get the hell out of the way."

I heard a drill instructor say:

RIGHT WRONG OR INDIFFERENT "DO SOMETHING!!!"

Heard that one in the fire service a number of times.  Usually in response to a huddle of firefighters doing nothing.

Although, it is sometimes true that "doing nothing" is the most viable option of all.
