48.

Been grouse hunting since I was 19. Coincidentally that was when I bought my first car.

Back then hunting with other buddies, no dog, and used to limit out all the time.

Now I hunt alone, with my dog, and maybe 2 grouse in hand at the end of the day. And I am the happiest!

Hunting them from the car must be a lot easier.  :<img src=:'>

53 next Tuesday.  Hard to believe sometimes.

My wind chill age is right around 30.

Fahrenheit or Centigrade (and + or -)? ???

Fahrenheit most of the time.  Centigrade every once in a while!  Minus or plus depending on F or C.

28 here. dog will be 3 next week.

I've got boots that old.  Like me they need to be resoled.

And my backup pair of Danner grouse hunter boots are indeed 30 years old. I got them when I was 12.

More or less.

After a certain age, it is supposed to feel good to get ID'd, to look younger than your driver's license says. This is very nice until you send out resumes for a job. It sucks to walk into a job interview and immediately be labelled as a lying SOB who padded their resume to get a job. Loren is 45 and is still being called some punk 20-something kid. Hard to be taken seriously in a job interview when he has 20 years of Class 1A driving experience on his resume and the interviewer thinks you were still breastfeeding then.

We have always gone to a job interview dressed one step above what we hope to be hired for. He did this 5 years ago and the superintendent offered him a job waving a highway cracking sealing wand, a $15/hr job. He went again 2 years later; same job, same superintendent but he went hungover, wearing ripped sweat pants, stained tee shirt and a week's worth of beard growth. He got the job he wanted. Super didn't remember him at all.

I am 67,  Cholla is 10, Willy, Lucy, Tuc and Maggie are all 8, K is 4, Skeet and Dexter are 9 months, and Windy is 6 months - all told, the setters are almost 46. Boo, the Wonder Cur, is 7.
