Bear hunting during cold snaps?

Recommended Posts

Supposed to meet a friend tonight and hunt tomorrow on stand for bears. No bait allowed. They usually don't hibernate during the winter because its not that cold. But this arctic push is dropping the temps well below freezing which is abnormal.

So, will it shut down their movement, or make them move more to feed more and stay warm? Its thick rhododendron slopes and oak flats covered in acorns.

Also bringing the predator call for some fawn in distress squalls to try and sounds as delicious as possible. Anyone know how to say "Cheap, easy calories" in bear talk?
