polecat
Yep, Time to amp up the event. Anybody on the fence Catskill Pheasantry has 2 very nice sporting clay courses,a great 5 stand and a flurry station. A big lighted pavilion for our cooking and eating,a friendly staff that cooks a 8am breakfast us for a small fee. The lodge can sleep 45 and still has room. We has the best eats around at no cost to the attendees and there are some unique items. That's what we do . A great place to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. So bring your wife bring your neighbor, bring your friends, bring your neighbors wife. We will start an attendees list and a food plan this week.

I can think of five people off the top of my head that will be bringing their wives. She may begin as a non shooter, but, may leave hooked.

Fire Marshal Bill
My wife and I will be attending for the first time. Neither of us are shooters (except for my mouth). So I have to ask, what is there to do? We will be staying in the lodge. BTW very nice people to deal with. Along with my drinks, what else should we bring? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Grifish
Well Fire Marshal Bill, it kinda goes like this: ya shows up Thursday and Polecat who has been there since Tuesday feeds ya, ya have some great conversations, show off your ill mannered pooches and new rusty old shotgun then you pass out. Friday you eat or don't eat breakfast, ya shoot a flat of shells, ya eat lunch, ya talk about taking a nap, ya shoot another flat of shells, ya have cocktails, ya eat dinner, ya have a few cocktails, ya have some great conversations then you pass out. It may be redundant but Saturday is eerily similar to Friday. Sunday we eat breakfast and everyone except for me and the Canadians leaves. We usually shoot one last round. If you or the Mrs cooks, jars, smokes or boils anything particularly yummy- bring it, it will be consumed and appreciated. If not pm Polecat and ask how you can help the cause. If you fish the Delaware river is close by and is considered by many a world class river. There are a couple little towns but really nothing too close.
Fire Marshal Bill
Grifish, thanks for the info. I can handle the eating and drinking part. Not so sure about the shooting. My gun is old; 20 gauge SXS,with double triggers. Tubes are M/F, not very good for skeet, etc. Not to mention that I am a terrible shot. Going to kennel the dog. Staying in the lodge and being our first time attending the gathering, I think that's the best for us and the dog. I'll contact Polcate concerning food. Thanks again for the heads-up.
