Aye  Mates,

Got REV and TRAD out on a high energy romp through the New England woodlands today and worked them on interwoven whistle stops, sit, down, recall, heel, and place commands using whistle signals, gestural cues, and verbal commands randomly.  Having an absolute blast, they really didn't realize they were responding to some serious training during the entire trek.  T'was grand fun for us in watching their unabridged Labrador joy.?

REV and TRAD immediately jumped up and sit on a boulder after having been issued the "PLACE" command.  They remained there until released with the verbal command "OFF".  I incorporate success based training into these dogs from very early on.  "Drills" are designed to assure success thus to increase confidence, patience, obedience, steadiness, and visual focus on and team building with the trainer.  We are looking forward to a new season of hunt testing with these two wonderful K9 athletes.

Good looking crew Mike! When does your trial season begin?

UplandHntr,

We need to wait for waters in the region to warm to reasonable temperatures to be able to conduct the "water series' portion of retriever hunt tests.  That usually translates into late April in the southern most areas of our region to later in May for the more northern regions.

Thanks for ye kind words on REV and TRAD.

Cheers,

THE DOG WHISTLER☘️
