Bidding opens today Wednesday, August 23, 2017 and will close on or about October 1, 2017 (Auction closing date/time may change depending on Bids and new items.)

 

I will be handling bids and will update highest bid on this Topic (High Bid Reply Below) a couple/few times a week (if not daily) but NOT who the high bidder is.

 

As always Proceeds go towards monthly/yearly UJ server/bandwidth, Cloud Hosting & Data costs and site/BB development, administrating and moderating, auction item arrangements, shipping of items, etc., and a % of total proceeds benefit a non-profit outdoor charity.

• ITEM 5, Cabin on Boulder River/Big Timber, Montana One week at a cabin in Montana on the Boulder River-a blue ribbon trout water and tributary to the Yellowstone River. Generously donated by UJ Member Big Al-this is his guest cabin. Cabin sleeps 4 with one bedroom with twin beds and a pull out couch, kitchen and bath. 8 miles south of Big Timber, Montana. Just 2 hours drive from Yellowstone National Park (northeast corner). 1/2 hour drive from Absaroka Mountain Range and mountain streams. Short travel to bird hunting areas. Weeks available in 2017: Now thru Sept 7, Sept 12 thru 28, Oct 17 thru Nov 12, It will then be closed until June 1 of 2018.

If high bidder wants to bank the week for 2018, it is available June 1 until Nov 15 but fills up fast. Arrangements should be made as early as possible.

ITEM 11, Hass Variety Large CA Avacados  UJ Member boutdoors4 has a prolific Avacado tree at his home in CA. These are large, thick skin Hass variety Avacados. He has donated Approximately 20-25 Avocadoes. Each is approx. 10-12oz. in size. Shipped 2-3 day Priority to the winning bidder. • ITEM 18, Case Bird Hook Pocket Knife...This brand new in box Case Bird Hook pocket knife has a jigged, Amber Bone handle and a polished stainless steel elongated clip point blade and bird hook. This knife overall length is 6.75", handle is 3.875", blade is 2.875". It has polished stainless steel blade and hook, and the oval Case script shield on the handle. I don't think this particular model is being made any longer which is unfortunate since it's a nice size and simple design. The blade is sharp...cut my finger snapping the blade back into handle!

• ITEM 19, Pure 1/2 Gallon Western Mass Maple Syrup...I have two 1/2 gallons of pure Western Massachusetts Maple Syrup made by Member Millriver (Dave) and his family in their sugar house....boiling on a 2x6 wood fired evaporator. They set about 120 buckets a year. His wife is a 3rd generation sugar maker! You can't get any more pure and delicious than this. Dave will ship directly to the winning bidders. I'll put each 1/2 gallon up for bids.

• ITEM 21, Stock Refinishing Donated by UJ Member bigjohnsd. John has earned a very good reputation as a stock refinisher here on the UJ board. His work speaks for itself. This is a great opportunity for stock work for someone with an older firearm in need of a make-over or any firearm for that matter.

• ITEM 22, Custom Revolver Grips...UJ Member Rob R of Rowen Custom Grips in My Virginia, has offered to create a custom grip for a variety of revolvers. This is exquisite workmanship. From his website:

...the custom handgun grips made here are not production products in any way. They are not made and fitted to "house" guns or templates. They are made for and fitted to your gun only, which means I do need to have your handgun in my shop. Machines are used where possible for cutting and rough sanding, but most of the work is done by hand using chisels, rasps, files and sanding blocks.

  • Winner would need to ship their handgun Rob, who has an FFL. 
  • Winner would pick their blank of wood from numerous options Ron would  photograph and email to them; French, Turkish and Black walnut.
  • The grips will be fully custom and he can make them thicker, thinner or like factory etc.

• ITEM 23, Handcrafted Dog Crate/End Table...UJ Member browndrake is generously offering a handcrafted dog crate/end table. This piece is made of solid oak and is custom-made by browndrake. A more attractive alternative to a plastic crate.

 Interior dimensions are 19" wide  28" long 24" tall. 

(This is about the same size as a ruff tough kennel intermediate.)

Shipping this piece is very expensive as in the $100-$150 range, and that will be covered by UJ and browndrake.
