If that auto start stop is what I have on my eco boost it sucks.

Yep we got it on our work trucks, very annoying.  There is multiple was of turning it off. Just google it up, or keep it sport mode or trailer tow from what I have read.  I was next to a Raptor this morning, rolled down my window and heard it start at 2 different lights. 😒  Also it don't sound like it saves much fuel for the aggravation.

I've had three eco boost 3.5 V6 motors.  Can't say enough good about them.  None had auto start stop.  I have  new 2018 Expedition on order.  I'm not sure about auto start stop on it.

They get good power out of that HO motor, but its mileage is a bit low and I assume it also needs premium fuel.

It will run on regular, but they prefer 91 or better.

Unfortunately that high output 3.5 is only available in the Raptor.

Will be interested in the longevity of the new transmission though, I wish Ram would have mated their updated transmission to my 6.4L but I am stuck with the same transmission and gearing as the Cummins which is fine, but there is a large and I mean large drop off from 1st to 2nd gear if you aren't heavily into the throttle.  Ford makes some nice stuff in the "1/2 ton" market.

For now I am very happy with my choice on the Longhorn with the 6.4L for the towing I do.........

And damn, everything is so darn pricey these days.

The new transmission is a collaboration between Ford & GM!

Ford gets to run the 10speed in the trucks first then GM will add next year

They did the same thing with an 8speed

GM gets to run the new 8speed in cross overs and sedans this year and Ford will add next year

My brother works for one of the venders that supplies parts for these transmissions.

Who would have thunk?

New Lincoln Navigator has 450 HP 3.5 V6.  Expedition Platinum 400HP.  So I'm told.
