Mike da Carpenter
1:30 PM update. Cloudy and 29*. Took the little rocket, Levi, out for a short (for him) run. Ended up going 5 miles per his Alpha, and his feet only hit the ground twice.

So they tell me, it started about 2am this morning and was supposed to be gone by 9, but it just finished raining again. these pics aren't very good because it was pouring the rain, but this was my shop on Dec 5 This was before it got deep I had all my equipment out except a brand new truck mount compressor I am using a chain hoist to get it up as high as I can This is right after I waded out because it was almost waist deep. When the water receded 45 minutes later there was a BMW and a new Audi as well as neighbors trash dumpsters in my yard This tractor trailer was parked next-door in an alley adjacent to my yard the alley is about 25 feet in front of the front of the truck and it was parked 100 feet up from the storm drain channel. we got 3 inches of rain in just under 3 hours

Dave in Maine
2 F this morning. Mid-teens now and breezy. Wearing multiple layers - old house, no insulation, masking-tape around the windows chasing drafts. Debating whether to change from cords to the heavy wool pants. Sun's below the rooftops here in town. I made chili last night. Had it again for breakfast - put a ladle full down in the cast iron skillet and level it out, turn on the heat medium, then crack a couple eggs onto it like you'd do for corned beef hash, and slap a slice of provolone on top, then cover and let simmer until the whites of the eggs are set. Eat directly from skillet. Seriously warm. Debating whether to go get some beef to make goulash, or just have another iteration of the scratch-made cream of chicken-mushroom soup from earlier in the week. May go with the latter.
