Retired Marine Fighter Pilot: (F-8 and F-4) 30+ years

For past 17 years since retirement  I have worked in defense reform in former Eastern Block nations including Georgia, led teams investigating war crimes in South Sudan, and for past 28 months advised and mentored Iraqi Senior Officers here in Baghdad.  Now advising in counter terrorism.

Wow! So what do you do for excitement? :<img src=:'>

I'd say this is a pretty interesting group. I'm a semi-retired investment counsellor. I have an investment management firm that my son is taking over.

Georgia could use your help again.  Looking like they might not be so "former" soon... :glare:

Joined the Army at 17 in 1983, after some senic tours of places like the Korean DMZ they put me through nursing school.  After 18 years of critical care culminating in 4 as a Flight Nurse Specialist, I now am back working with soldiers at a small VA clinic which is as rewarding, albeit not as exciting, as anything I've done.

Severed all ties with the Army in 2005 but wanted to do something in this time of need thus my move to the VA.

Five weeks vacation and holidays/weekends off don't hurt either.

Tim

IT Manager for Penn State's Largest satellite campus, Abington (Formerly Ogontz) just outside of Philly.    I'm one of two managers and I'm in charge of end user support.  In other words I make sure everyone's computer works.  I've been working here since I was a student and worked my way up.   It's a pretty good deal.  Bene's are good, excellent time off, and plenty of UJ time.

Pattern Maker - Project manager for a foundry tooling supplier.

First 12 years I spent in the automotive prototype side of the business. The past 8 years have been spent as the Quality Manager for a large Tier 1 supplier to the "Domestic" Big 3.

JClyma- Shoot me a PM, curious to know which foundry you work for.

Conservationist with a federal conservation agency.  Enjoy my work, except for some of the govt bs that we have to deal with.  Get to spend 50% outside, 50% inside, I enjoy both.

Often get to design and implement wetlands, riparian improvements and other habitat works.  Pretty rewarding.  I get good time off in the fall to hunt as I'm able to take off 1-2 mornings/week and work later in the afternoons.
