Dick Sellers
Not to further any disagreement, but the crew in the photo ranged from the ADF&G state waterfowl biologist and his wife to a game warden to a first-time duck hunter. This was before the advent of camo guns - or at least before they made an appearance on the AK Peninsula. The shack - and it truly was a shack with mud floor and leaky roof - served as the cook shack. We all slept in tents and had to be sure the high tides weren't too high or the whole marsh would be flooded. Somewhat strangely, about 75% of the ducks were gadwalls, and during the early years the prize birds were Cackling Canada geese; but they were only legal for the first 2 years I hunted down there. After the shack pictured there finally blew down, we moved a short distance to another abandoned shack.
Samuel Hoggson
Brad detached his plow, as a result that we got slammed. But it's now 3/20. Stay or go?

Cheesy
From dads back porch last year. Said the view was the same this morning. My 9 year old can’t wait for the opener in a few weeks. He won’t even miss school this year like he did last year....

No. It's from 1902 and I'm not quite that old. I found it at a photo archive site I discovered a while ago. I saved it because it looks a little like I did when I was in my 20s or so. Here's the site--it's one of the best of its type. www.shorpy.com This is me in my 20s trying to kick a grouse up in north Georgia.
