The last of the Laurel 17

Recommended Posts

ABESR moved the last 2 of the Laurel Mtn setters today. 17 dogs sent to fosters and 3 quarantined and sent to an owner out west. A transporter brought the 2 together from a temp home in PA to a meeting place in Maryland.
I moved the dark one to a foster only 5 miles from my home. The other lighter one was moved by another transporter to a foster in Washington DC.
A better future for these dogs.

This will be my last transport for a while until we finish my wife’s chemotherapy.
One battle at a time.

We are now looking for two vibrating collars for two of these dogs that are deaf. The collars will be used in their training in their new homes.
See Swap and Trade.

A collar system donated by Cooter Brown. Thank you.

Best wishes for your wife and you too. One of the best pieces of advice I read when I had my brush with the dred  C  Was “Remember it’s not happening to just you” I.e. it is tuff for the whole family. Later when my wife got sick I realized how true that was.
