Scott Who
I'm looking for some advice, if I head to north central Michigan (maybe the Grayling area) to Grouse hunt & maybe fly fish when would be the best time frame. I'm thinking late October?
dogrunner
Depends on the weather for fish. It is supposed to be cooler so they may be early this year depending on what you want to catch.
Thunder Bay
Usually, 1st or 2nd week of October is pretty reliable for good weather (50s - 70s during the day) for both fishing and hunting in Northern MI (LP) near Grayling. Later in October, more unpredictable in terms of heavy rain or light snow. Every year, Halloween is a crap shoot for the kids to decide what to wear under their costumes (winter jacket, rain suit, or plain costume).
