Above and Beyond English Setter Rescue is almost done with placing all 17 setters from Laurel Mtn. This one is moving from a foster in Maryland to a permanent home in Georgia this weekend. I’ll be driving her through Northern Virginia to Fredericksburg. She’s  a nice senior 10 year old dog.
16 of the 17 setters have been adopted. One still left with a foster.

Very good. Those dogs have had a tough go of it. Hopefully they will be comfortable and happy in their new homes. So who's left to get a home for?

A female named Rue. Most of these setters were adopted by the fosters. There is a line a mile long to adopt from ABESR.

Moved her today. Named Mia.
A beautiful Llewellin.
One left, just adopted.
The last one, Rue, is moving next weekend to her adopter.

We can’t change the world.
But we can change that dog’s world.

Mia’s new family.

This is Rue. The last of the Laurel Mountain Llewellins to be adopted.
I moved her through Virginia and Maryland today on her way to her final home. A good ending to this saga.

Such a sweet face on Rue. Hard to believe she was the last to be adopted.

She hunted every Bush and weed whenever we stopped.
Heidi Kozubal and ABESR deserve all the credit. She worked an entire year to gain the owner’s confidence and arrange this.

Everyone involved deserves credit for bettering these dogs' lives, Mike.

Rue's pic just spoke to me. What a beautiful girl.
