Eating right on the road

Recommended Posts

Mike da Carpenter

We are up salmon fishing right now and had to snap a picture of tonight’s dinner for this thread, and also one I started in the General Discussion section on spending a long weekend with the boys.  Tonight, we are eating quite well.  Same as the last two nights also.

For those that drive thousnds of miles to hunt and have a specific diet,   How do you stick with the diet on the road for several days

Hit a grocery store and have healthy snacks for the truck.  Nuts, fruit, non-sugary granola bars, etc.  Pass on the fast food unless absolutely necessary and pick the lesser of the evils like Subway.  Skip the fries and go for a salad with your dinner.  Tough when on vacation.  I usually go wild and give in for a plate of chislic and fries in South Dakota.
