Ben Hong
I have been on youtube a bit lately, more for reliving some of my favourite movies than anything else. The western genre has always been high on the list. We have all seen the continued popularity and relevance of the thread here "what are you listening to?" started almost 10 years ago. There are movies and scenes within movies that bear repeating. One of my all time favourites was Sam Peckinpah's "The Wild Bunch" starring a whole pantheon of gritty leading men and supporting actors: Holden, Borgnine, Ryan, Ben Johnson, Warren Oates, Strother Martin, Bo Hoskins, etc. Peckinpah set the new tone and direction for how action movies were to be made with this movie. Remo
Jack Palance in the movie Shane had to be one evil villain. Jeremiah Johnson was a good movie. Ben, If you like youtube check out the Ballad of Buster Scruggs.
T-Bone
The Wild Bunch is one of my favorites, as well. As are: The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance Hombre The Searchers The Shootist Fort Apache The Magnificent Seven Stagecoach Winchester 73 My Darling Clementine She Wore A Yellow Ribbon Jeremiah Johnson I guess my Senior Citizen status is showing... sprocket
The Cowboys Quigley Down Under There's a few movies with Selleck and Elliot based on Louis L'Amour novels - Conagher is probably the best one - Katherine Ross across from Sam - throw some good fights in but it's a love story, no lie. Big Jake - Wayne has his own forum at this point...Rooster Who? El Dorado - NOT Rio Lobo which was a giant POS worthy of a bulldozer flattening. The Kurosawa remakes get a pass. Spaghetti too. Now for the funny: Support your local... Lee Marvin and horse sleeping leaning on a barn... "He missed the barn from the inside!" Blazing Saddles The Villain - Arnold Schwtersisname... Paint Your Wagon - Gold rush vs western...Meh - Too funny to ignore.
mccuha
Not good with names of movies but I’d say pretty much any thing John Wayne or Clint Eastwood made. Jeramiah Jonson and quigly down under. Plus any of the tomb stone movies
Windrider
Once upon a Time in the West Winchester 73 High Plains Drifter / Pale Rider The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance Tombstone The Violent Men - nod to the under rated Glenn Ford The Lone Ranger of 2013 (The new one...It’s like one long tribute to westerns.) The Gunfighter- the ultimate morality play via a western The Beguiled - 1971 version The Outlaw Josey Wales “You gonna pull them pistols or whistle Dixie” The Tall T - Randolph Scott is one of my favorites 3:10 to Yuma - either one Man of the West The Naked Spur The Searchers The Treasure of the Sierra Madre Open Range I thought the new True Grit was well done and stuck more to the book. Unforgiven has grown on me as I’ve grown older. I absolutely love the comedy western “My Name is Nobody” I can pretty much watch westerns all day...and have when the weather is bad. The perfect day would include watching a western.

A comedy... but one of the best spaghetti westerns. I use the theme song as my phone's ring tone.

Don Steese
I love most all of them, but my warped mind tells me I must cast a vote for "Blazing Saddles" with "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" a close second.
