redwing
My GSP ,Zela ,is going on 10 now .She is really a brilliant dog and canine companion. Her eyesight is fading and she seems to rely on scent more than vision lately. Is there a test that one could have done to ascertain how good/bad a dogs vision actually is? RedL
Does she have visible cataracts? I know you can take your dog to a special dog optometrist to get their eyes certified. I don't know a lot about it, but perhaps someone more knowledgeable can chime in. I've had several dogs get cataracts when they get old though. I would run it by your vet sometime. SxSetter
Could be cataracts, could be retinal degeneration. Referral to a vet ophthalmologist would be your best way to get her assessed
