Montana 2020 Elk Season

I've been on a few bulls but they've beaten me thoroughly thus far.  I have three excuses, with the last being the most relevant:

 

     My vacation week was hot, dry, and smokey. 

     Last weekend (4 days) was much cooler weather but the wind was brutal.

     I've decided that I just suck as an elk hunter.

Blow-downs have increased dramatically since last year and there is still a lot of standing dead timber to come down.

Look closely at the previous photo and you'll see this gal staring at me.  Her calf was 20 yards to her right.

Big weather change starting about last Thursday.  The cooler temps were great, but the rain, sleet, snow, and wind combo sucked.

This is my typical turkey hunting stance...
