Mike da Carpenter
Just kidding. I could never see having that big of a turkey. HA!! My wife bought some Swedish thing to cook meat at the table. It’s called a Raclette (think of a George Foreman grill without a top), then dipped in cheese. Kind of a Fondu style dinner. She wants to try something different, so why not. There will be venison, supplied by the boys this year, on that grill for sure.
Remo
Stuffed porkchops and the side trimmings. Same thing we always have. I like it.
molliesmaster
Typical turkey stuff will be served, of course. Hoping to add a few wood ducks as appetizers. Dad likes to cook some beef the night before. I think he is doing a whole ribeye this year. I plan to eat my fair share and then walk it all off over the weekend as our quail season opens this coming week.
dogrunner
Turkey as usual, I like the dark meat and stuffing.

Lurch
just the usual, skipping most to save room for the Pecan pie. however, I think I'll pick up a small turkey to experiment wtih in the smoker. Won't know timing, so it will be "in addition to" the regular one. May be great, may turn out like Cousin Eddie's in Christmas Vacation, but either way won't ruin the day for everyone else. gwponr
stuffed with elk sausage Plus a turkey since I invited a dozen friends
sneem
Turkey. Followed by hot turkey sandwiches. Followed by cold turkey sandwiches. Followed by turkey pot pie. Then we’ll take a few weeks off and do it all again at Christmas. May seem boring but I love it.
Dave in Maine
Usual: turkey, PA-style bread filling, some veg, gravy and more gravy, pumpkin pie. Gotta love Maine - every year Hannaford's has a turkey special. 37 cents a pound this year. So, even buying the absolute smallest bird in the freezer I get a month of turkey, turkey sandwiches, turkey soup, turkey a a la king, etc. for under $5.
Swampy 16
Beef short ribs slow cooked in a cast iron Dutch oven, browned first of course. Homemade white cheddar Mac & cheese, split Brussels sprouts coated in bacon grease and seasoning cooked in a cast iron skillet, mashed tators made from the small red tators with the skin left on. Oh, and a salad.
Greg Hartman
This year, no family Thanksgiving. My surviving daughter has COVID. She should be ok, but her husband’s parents (while my age) are quite old in practical terms and at risk due to numerous health issues. Thanksgiving is the only holiday I really like (love to do the cooking; no presents or other commercialism; I had brought sharptail, hun and sage grouse from MT to add to the turkey), so I am bummed, but it’s not worth someone’s life. 🙁 So, it’s just gonna be my partner, Nancy, and me. We’ll be starting with deer sticks and PA Dutch deer ring baloney with an adult beverage. Then, doing a small turkey that I shot at a traditional over-the-log live turkey rifle shoot. PA Dutch potato filling (doing the usual stuffing is too much work for just two people). PA Dutch dried corn. Candied carrots. Sweet potatoes for Nancy - not my thing. Store bought cranberry sauce (the usual homemade cranberry relish is again too much work for just two people). Topped off with a cherry crumb pie. 😁😁😁
robp
I'm in the same boat no ones coming over just not worth the risk. Just me and my wife plus the hounds. I'm going to make a wild turkey, oyster stuffing, boudin sauages some kind of potato, green beans or brussel sprouts. I got this bourbon maple syrup pudding recipe off Milk street I've made a couple times maybe an apple pie Drink some whiskey, drink some beer. Listen to punk rock,be thankful for what I got. Not much different than the last 30 years only without company
PaFlyfisher
Just my household. COVID risks too great. I don't want to lose the next 20 thanksgivings with my parents for this one. So, with fewer people, I may attempt to roast a duck! It is perhaps my favorite food, but I have never cooked one at home.
Pudgy gopher
Smoked turkey, Sharptail grouse Croute, Duck breasts with a rendered plum brandy compote, and roasted root veggies. I like Thanksgiving. Just as said above no commercialism. My parents live done the road from us so we will bring them a prepared meal and if the weather is tolerable spend some time distancing outdoors with them.
