Woodcock New Years dinner

Woodcock breast fillets and leg quarters

Sprinkle with salt/pepper

2 tbl butter melted

2tbl worcestershire

1tbl lemon juice

Combine and marinate for at least an hour

Grill at 350* 3min per side for breasts, 5min for legs



8oz mushroom

1 medium onion chopped

2tbl butter salt pepper to taste

2oz bourbon

1tbl rosemary leaves

Melt butter and cook onion until starting to go transparent

Add mushrooms

Add rosemary/salt/pepper and cook for five minutes

Add bourbon and cover for three min


2lbs potatoes, diced and boiled til soft

4tbl butter

1/4 cup whole milk

1/4 cup sour cream

1/4 cup fresh horseradish

salt pepper you taste

I missed this post earlier.  This meal looks great!  


I can imagine some blue cheese stuffed olives with gin and tonic, or even champagne, before dinner.  And a Claret with the meal.
