DTB
One of of the rare winter days when the weather warms up enough for tarpon to get happy in the backcountry. A first time tarpon angler had 9 tarpon eat the fly and got 4 to the boat. 70-100 pounds. In the off colored water the fish act very good.Black fly visible in fish's top lip. Wind came up and it was over with- home by 1:30. It was about as good as you could ever hope for.

DTB
Rookie, You got to catch em when they are ready to be caught. We hit it right. On the flip side I once guided a 5 day tournament and caught none. You deserve an easy day once in awhile.

That's an ingredient most of us rely on more than we'd like to admit! The first time my buddy and I went tarpon fishing our guide said Steve (buddy's name) had a horseshoe hidden away in...an orifice. By the end of the 3 days he'd progressed to golden and then finally platinum horseshoe.
