Bentley telling/showing the world how damn good looking he is, and, oh by the way, that he can point grouse too.

My best friend and I have spent lots of weekends like this. It's simple and poetic and in one way it's how I'd like to be remembered . A baseball hat on backwards, a beer in hand, dogs near by, and all of it adjacent to one of the most productive grouse covers we've ever hunted.

RuffChaser and KBD discussing the finer points about why grouse hunting is better than quail hunting and why setters are better than French Brittanies. He may remember that conversation differently though. All I know is two grouse were shot over points by setters in that cover. BTW, That's my setter Chip. He pointed both those grouse with Lynn Dee's dog Tweed backing him on one. Chip agreed with our conclusion on both topics. FYI, Tweed was one of the nicest dogs I've ever walked behind.

But here's the end of another woodcock hunt in Georgia, 14 seasons after the first picture.  Different dogs and a lot more white hair under that hat.

Bentley is quite handsome indeed...why shouldn't he brag?

Well thanks. Nice to see you're back BTW. I wouldn't call it bragging as much as I'd call it stating the obvious.

Clockwise from bottom, my old Traveller, my Jeb at about 7 months, a buddy's little setter Ginger.
