Lars
Anyone know if there is a big difference between the taste of Corona Extra and Coronita Extra? Bottles looks the same. Both brewed in Mexico. Seems to be a big difference in the price. Brad, this may be right up your alley! :'>
B du B
You mean, besides the fact that "Corona" is the 12 oz. size, and "Coronita" ("slanglish" for "little Corona") is the 7 oz. (nipper) size? Other than that, they're exactly the same beer.
Lars
Really. Our local market is advertising 12oz Coronita Extra's at $16.99 case. Must be a typo.
B du B
Yup - got a case of 'em (the Coronitas) in the garage, left over from a summer BBQ. That's why they're cheaper - much less total beer!
Lars
You have beer left over? How could that happen?
Trappercase
I always thought the Coronitas were just small bottles. oops. Little slow on the reply button.
Brad Eden
Coronitas are cuter and they actually taste better. Because they are cuter I suppose. I had a couple of the lil buggers last weekend at Dos Amigos Mexican restaurant in Rockport. (Hmmm. did I read that right? Brad actually ordered Coronitas!...Not really, I ordered a regular tall boy Corona but the waitress brought me two coronitas cuz the bigger ones weren't cold.) And hey Lars-you gotta let me know your work schedule come Oct 1st. Dogs are moving birds down here on walks...
M V McDonald
Never liked any Corona - tastes like watered down beer....cheap, watered down, beer. So I guess I can't comment...or did I already? Sorry, never mind. Mike

M V McDonald
That makes us men of discriminating taste...not a bad thing would you say? Mike

Sorry, never mind. Mike I've never tried it. The clear bottle puts me off. Reminds me of Miller High Life, which they used to say didn't need to be put in shaded bottles because the formaldehyde they put in it, preserved the color even when exposed to bright sunlight for long periods of time. Maybe it wasn't true but it didn't taste like anything special and even in small amounts, gave me a headache. I suppose I might take a lot of Advil if I drank the stuff, too. Over the years, many beer brewers have made the boast that thier beer was made with the purest water available. It seems odd that anyone would deliberately drink beer made in a country where drinking the water is not recommended.

I used to drink that Miller High Life then for some reason it started to taste like carrots. Strange. Coors was the one that gave me the headaches.

WPG Gizmo
The Coronitas taste better because they dont get warm like the bigger bottles. Crack one open two big swigs and your done
