Gifted our Dixie to a friend who had a stroke.

Our setter Dixie is a real good hunting dog, but the last couple years her front ankles would swell if you hunted her more than a hour or so. She just turned seven this spring and way to young to stay back from hunting, but I didn’t want to see her cripple herself taking her with. We decided to gift her to a friend who had a stroke, and his dog died last year. His wife was telling us how hard it was on the both of them loosing their setter, and she didn’t have the energy to bring up a puppy. Sometimes all the stars a-line, and things are meant to be. This is one of those occasions, and we new it immediately. Dixie will now have a new roll as a comfort dog, and she will love it !
