Let’s see those trail cam pics. 2021

Recommended Posts

I’ve just started getting some interesting pics from my cameras.

The choke cherries are ripe so bears are expected. C46AFEBF-3452-4035-A503-0E9DB6B6C492.thumb.jpeg.bcc650807fe022cce06376721313710c.jpeg

I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a 110 acre wooded tract near my home. All new to me. Its in a great area, lots of deer and ive seen a few hammers in the adjacent fields. Put a camera up on a mineral rock to see what would show up. Well, I'd be very happy to see this one this fall.

I posted the first two in another Topic on a bear climbing my deer stand at the back of my property. I caught this pony tailed scofflaw on a trail camera at a bait site I set up 20 yards from that ladder stand. Yup that be me….soaking some sweet grain with some expired coffee milk syrup. And spraying some anise on a hanging rag. Yogi hasn’t hit it yet.

This is a decent deer crossing spot where I’d typically get some cam shots of deer. I’m sacrificing the area right now in hopes that I can kill a bear on my property next month.

A few nice ones showing up.  Kids are pretty excited for the season to get here.

I have the cameras set up for deer, but I love catching photos of all the wildlife.  This is a photo of a red tail hawk grabbing a baby racoon.

Spun uptacamp today. Cleaned up, mowed around camp and along frontage edge so it doesn’t look abandoned. Hiked to a tree stand and set a trail cam. Poked around for any grouse. I have a cam set behind the camp to catch the outhouse users. I figure anyone trying to break in will walk out back at some point and I can catch a photo. This girl must have had to go bad. She strolled in before daylight…

Outdoor Nut, the antlers and tail of the deer in the top picture look like a mule deer.  I checked online and the occasional mule deer is being seen or photographed in WI.  Did you happen to get a pic of one?

I'll be waiting for the Sasquatch picture next.

Not a trail camera but saw these two fellows on the 14th hole last week.  What brand and color of Titleist works best for deer or do you use regular everyday Topflights and what club do you recommend for deer. Does dimple pattern effect penetration in your experience.

I would be shocked if it was a muley, but the thought did cross my mind as well.  Attached is 2 other photos of the same deer.  The shot going away, and a photo about 3 weeks earlier.

Looking at a muley vs whitetail, generally speaking, the muley will have a whiter face, and a white butt.  This buck has neither of those traits.
