From April...

I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a 110 acre wooded tract near my home. All new to me. Its in a great area, lots of deer and ive seen a few hammers in the adjacent fields. Put a camera up on

Pulled a card at my early/management bow season spot this morning. Note ladder stand on right. Season starts next Saturday. Hope that’s enough time for the spots to disappear so I won’t feel bad trying for momma doe…(that’s the whole point of this urban management hunt…to thin the deer, does in particular.)

I just pulled these pictures.  This is a monster bull.  I don’t have a tag this year but my brother does.  I hope this bruiser makes himself known in a couple of months.
I messed up the clock on that camera. Apparently I’ve switched the AM and PM.

The natural Pine Licking Branch/Scrape is getting very active. Five different bucks have visited this week.
It is almost hard horn time.

He laid down in the scrape for over an hour. He added a few pictures to my monthly limit.

Two nice bucks at the Bittersweet Licking Branch. First time I have seen this duo.

Seems the shift is on.

Few more for the late summer.  This camera is on a 1st year foodplot.  Last fall I sort of found this spot that I thought might work for a secluded area, for the deer to feed, and feel comfortable.  It has worked as you can see.  It is pounded by deer all day long, so much so, I have deer bedding in it at all hours, which will make it just short of impossible to hunt.  So I might not - we will see.  And my 1st hard horned deer of the year.

The food plots are working. Clover L, Brassica R, Winter rye Rear. To each side of the front two plots (not seen) are a half acre each of winter rye.
